Presearing Ascalon, Euro English 1. Gotta be top of the list. I mean, we were all there at one point, so why does it seem like everyone who is there at any given point is a thirteen year old, hormonally challenged, sexist, racist, 1337 wannabe of a freudian nightmare?

God help me I want to grab some of these people and shake them - or at least give them some links to pornsites so they can stave off their urges where I don't have to be involved. One more Wammo tries to hump my Necro, and I swear I'll be emailing Anet begging for the /bitchslap emote again.

RA can be bad too - but if I'm there its usually late at night so while I tend to see less of the crazies, I am exposed to what you might call the 'hard core' - oh dear, even as I type that I wish I hadn't.

But this guy with the:

"looking for gf im 16 and from london" (translated: "looking for cyber im 13 and have no life")

I'm sorry, that's so far beyond odd its in the realms of pathetic. I just want to give the poor guy a cuddle. Moron.

The place was empty except for one person buying new 15k armor. We struck up a conversation, and I think I made a new friend.

As a loon-spotting trip, it was a TOTAL failure. ^_^

I agree about the Temple of Balthazar, though. Insanity rules that land.
Sorry Rhedd I wasn't there, I'm busy at the moment. Come between 8-5pm CST and you will see craziness. But usually only if I'm there, now. It's died down a bit cause of NF.

When the Luxon side of Aspenwood was down, me and about five other people stayed there for an hour talking about random stuff, which was different. o.O And Grotto, of course, but I really don't know anyone there (besides Lenny... :| ). Pre-Searing always has those recruiters and weird chatlogs, but I've never spent much time there.

DH's whisper is full of crazy chats, just ask him about when I randomly message him for no reason.

Some guy asked if I would "cyber wit me" and I said that I was a guy, and he said "so?!". -___________-

Shing Jea, Ascalon (pre and post, but especially pre), Kamadan and temple of Balthazaar. Yes, you may notice a pattern there, they're all accessible early on, I suspect that's somehow related to the topics discussed and the manner in which they are handeled.

I'll do that, gareth... as soon as I build up the nerve. ^_^

Oh, and Faith Angelis; about that /bitchslap emote... A particulary creative and evil-tempered guildmate of mine realized that if you stand right in front of someone, the /highfive emote works nicely. Now if it just announced, "X has bitchslapped you, and you richly deserved it." ^_^

I usually found Marhan's Grotto pretty quiet. I always see afk people standing in a line at the wall with the /bowhead emote on.

Sometimes in Hero's Acent I see arguements and the derrogatory use of the words "noob," "newb," "nub," etc.

I've seen some weird chat stuff in Ascalon City in presearing. Some derrogatory, some explicit.

I've seen chats get really racist as well. It's unfortunate. It's like the Minuteman Project has started playing Guild Wars or something. Not just silly joking, but offensive choice of words and serious arguments geared towards offending certain ethnic groups and races.

I was in the Urgoz outpost and there was a really HUGE fight in local chat among a group who just finished the mission. Apparently someone had the Urgoz longbow drop for him, but he was dead. And someone else used Frozen Soil, while his wife picked up the bow. The chat fight went on for a long time. I mean it was really heated.

Yeah, I saw a thread about it. Theyd said they had tried to get the bow for a long time, and felt they "deserved" it, so they took it. A good reason to "lock" special items like greens, and place them in the "Reclaim" at end of mission.

RA probably tops my list so far. Every time I enter RA there's an homophobic chat going. As a gay guy who WILL fight back when provoked, I avoid RA like plague now because people are ignorant ******** and not worth the time arguing with. (Yes, I still hold a grudge with that place from the NF PvP event).

Great Temple has been mentioned, I'll mention it again. I stand there as little as possible when I have to go there.

Enough said.

Let's see... Ascalon pre-sear, Ad1. This is an eternal 12-year-old sexual gathering, scares me like hell. Why? 'Cause I CAN'T stand netspeak, and I surely can't stand all those kids thinking they're SOooOooo00)0o cool because they have no armor on. Grow up...
